Welcome to the web site of

“Climate change: causes and impacts” , an autumn school organized jointly by the Energy, Environment and Water Research Centre, Cyprus, and the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany. The subject involves various disciplines from natural to economic sciences. Although climate change is a global phenomenon, the school will also address regional impacts, for example in the Mediterranean region.

It will take place from 12-19 October, 2008, in Paphos, a wonderful venue in Cyprus. The organizers, Jos Lelieveld and Paul Crutzen, invited 20 world-leading experts to present lectures to a group of 40 international PhD students. The students will be engaged in an 'Environmental Policy Assignment'.
